Some of their points were pretty good. Like the one about the crosshairs on the photos. Or how the astronauts had the EXACT same landscape even though they were "in 2 different places." I think one of the most convicing to me was the point about how the US flag was waving even though there's no wind in space. How'd NASA explain that one? IP: Logged |

Ever consider that in space motion is perpetual and that due to the moon's lack of atmosphere and low gravity the origional movement of placing the flag there could have kept it waving for a pretty long time. That's what I learned in physics class during highschool at least.IP: Logged |

Piff don't you think that for the exact same reason that you say the flag could be waving for a while, that dust storms could go on forever?

You know what I really like? Instead of NASA saying "Well, we would like to address your points one by one ..." They pretty much say, "We went to the moon. If you don't believe, fine. You're dumb." You gotta admit, that's pretty slick.------------------ David, aka POP Kraproom.com Staff www.kraproom.com

well in space if a dust storm somehow did break out it would go on forever...why? Because in space there's no friction...which is why things slow down and eventually stop. And since there's no wind in space they made the flag so it didn't need wind to flap around...it stands out on its own.

No those are just assholes. Sucks since I work around people that work for NASA everyday. Them and their stupid ass $73 government room rate. "I don't care what planet you've been on, you can't have a suite at that rate Mr. Cheapo." IP: Logged |

Actually David, you may want to check out NASA's site. On the front page they have a statement and a link to a story all about the FOX special, explaining the points that the special made one by one. Even the slow people that think we never landed on the moon could probably comprehend it. There was another site I was reading which was better written and made better points than NASA's but I didn't bookmark it because I'm screwing off at work and didn't want to leave any evidence. the name of the site that explains most of the points is on - badastronomy.comand yes that show made some pretty good points... if you have no clue about space which is for the most part a 90 percentile for the american public IP: Logged |

Sorry but I [can't] put down the whole flag waving in space point. There's no explanation for it. None that I know of or can think of that is. I'd also like to think that, while I'm not a space-professional, I still have a pretty good concept on the basic physics of it all. Like the fact that there's no wind in space to make a flag wave. I think that if you press up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, a, b, a, b start before you get out of the rocket thing you'll have 30 free men once you're on the moon. <3 Contra IP: Logged |
