Lol before the internet had proper horror movies, your AOL mailbox had an email threatening seven years of bad luck if you didn’t forward it to ten people. Apparently the ghost could travel through dial-up but couldn’t figure out how to send its own damn mail.
Somebody would forward it anyway, just in case. Now ten more people had a haunted inbox and forty lines of FWD: FWD: FWD: to scroll through. Happy Halloween. The scariest part was how many people had your email address.
