John Thomas Settino’s Obituary on The Capital Gazette
John Thomas “Nion” Settino, 24, a resident of Glen Burnie, died April 17 due to natural causes.
Born in Maryland, John lived in Glen Burnie and attended Old Mill and Chesapeake High School.
He worked as computer and web support for SAGE Dining. John was active in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Anne Arundel County and volunteered during their walks to raise money and awareness. In addition to his interest in computers, he also played the guitar for the band And It Must Occur and had a passion for both playing and recording music.
John was predeceased by his grandfathers, John Settino and Thomas Hamilton.
John is survived by his father, Dwayne “Set” Settino and his wife Joan of Glen Burnie; his mother, Joan Hamilton and her husband Robert of Glen Burnie; his grandmothers, Jean A. Settino and Shirley Hamilton of Glen Burnie; his step-brothers and sisters, Caitlin Williams and Colleen Williams of Baltimore, Patrick Williams of Mississippi, Ray Tiszl of Pasadena, and Brandie and Lindsie Jordan of Glen Burnie; and many other family members and friends.
A gathering will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday with a memorial celebration to follow at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy. SE in Glen Burnie. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 10155 York Road, #101, Cockeysville, MD 21030.
