AOL 7.0

AOL has recently posted a beta version of AOL 7.0 on their ftp site under a director called "Jetsons," which has since been removed. As of October 3, this directory is open for anyone to download the AOL 7.0 software. Since AOL was kind enough to post this beta version online, we decided to review the software and post our findings. We found something quite remarkable in this.....

Subprofile.com Exploit

Several "hackers" discovered the password to the sample profiles on www.subprofile.com (All the servers). On 7/23/02, A guy going by the alias "JTM" decided he wanted to know how to change the subprofile without a password. He started a program called "webproxy" developed by @stake. This program allows you to EASILY change the variables passed through files on websites. He figured out how to change.....

Advanced Remote File Explorer v1.20 (Read me)

Advanced Remote File Explorer v1.20 (Read me)

Advanced Remote File Explorer v1.20 (May 30, 2002)

Author: BenWhite@columbus.rr.com

Install:
Simply extract the contents of the zip file into a directory on your web site

Setup:
default.asp
If you plan on viewing this page with ie4 then you need to
change the scroll property in the body tag to “auto”
If using ie5 or above, leave the setting = “no”

dir.asp
strInitDirectory – Set the Home Directory for the explorer
blnDownload – Enable/Disable Downloads (may be slow for large files)
blnHidden – Enable/Disable View of Hidden files/folders
blnIcon – Enable/Disable Dynamic Icon Loading (this sometimes fails due to server connection limitations)
The default connection limit for an unlicensed iis server is 10.
There is no way to defeat that setting,
although you can change this setting to 40 or less and it works,
but that is not widely advertised.

Note:
If you want to avoid possible download abuse.
You should delete the download.asp file.
Remember, blnDownload and blnIcon require this file to work.

RANT | Miss these days…

Man some days i just get caught in a nostalgic phase and just think about all the old times online.  Theres no more chatrooms, no more sleeping at night waiting to hear that notification sound for a cracked leet; popping instantly out of bed.  Waking up to find out your cracker or spammer just crashed or froze and that entire list you were cracking and.....

The AOL Protocol

The AOL Protocol

The AOL Protocol

When you hear the phrase “The AOL Protocol”, I bet most of you immediately think of FDO, right?
Although FDO is a part of the AOL protocol, it in no way encompasses the big picture. When I use
the term “The AOL protocol”, I refer to how the AOL client and server interact with each other,
how data is prepared, how it is sent, and how it can be manipulated.

There currently exists no formal documentation of the AOL protocol, or at least one that is
publicly available. For this reason, I have taken it upon myself to strip the bits of
information from my feeble mind and write a document with at least basic information about
the AOL protocol. The information included in this document is what I have learned, from
exploration, help from others, and just stumbling upon it. I in no way guarantee the accuracy
of the information contained herein. That said, here is what I know.
