It seems I’ve settled into a “few posts a year” rhythm, and this is my first check-in for 2026! However I’ve been busy creating a ton of content for AOLFOREVER lately— for example; below you can view the AOL prog videos I’ve been making.
A little info about the prog videos; basically I run an actual copy of America Online/ 4.0/5.0 using the server provided by Nina.Chat. I load up the progs and show you the actual prog running in real time on an vmware Windows 98 SE. I also got into making my own intros and outros for the progs. I try to incorporate as much as I can from the actual prog from sound files/music/noises/intros etc.
Beyond the new prog videos, there are several “under the hood” improvements that might not be immediately obvious. I’m continuously refining the pages—polishing the layout and adding subtle upgrades to enhance the overall experience.
One addition I’m particularly excited about is the new Light/Dark mode. Since I do most of my coding deep into the night, adding a dark theme felt like a necessary upgrade for both my eyes and yours.
Another cool tweak I added was some header images that will change throughout *special* days of each month. I made these out of boredom however enjoyed creating them. I felt like showing them off and also test out the new image gallery.
