Locate member was a feature through the buddylist. You could click on a buddy in your list and see what chat room they were currently hanging out in. It also gave you the option to join the same chat room if you wanted to. If they were not in a chat room, it would tell you that as well. If they were in a private chat room it also told you that. But no option was given to join the private chat, as you had to be invited to those. You was also able to bring up an empty Locate Member box and you could manually type in someones screen name to see if they were invisible online or not. It was a handy tool, but abused by stalkers.
