Automatically clicks AOL’s idle/timer popup windows so you don’t get
signed off. It sits in your System Tray and “sleeps” when you aren’t
using AOL.

In version 2.6, I am using a new “keep-alive” technique instead of the
old “ping” technique which caused problems on a few people’s computers.
For those who care, I’m simply sending a small UDP packet instead of
shelling Windows’ “ping” program.

Compatible with AOL versions 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0.
Installation Instructions

Momo’s AOL Anti-idle is a self-contained program, and does not need
to install any files. Unzip anti.exe to anywhere on your computer, and
run it when needed.

If you want the program to run whenever you start Windows, put it
or a shortcut to it in your ‘C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup’
directory.

It is recommended that you exit AOL Anti-idle (and all other programs)
while defragmenting hard drives and installing new software.
Program Features

This program places an icon in your system tray (on the Windows
taskbar) while it is running.

Right-click on the system tray icon for an option menu. You can turn
the program on and off, open the Settings window, read an informational
popup, or exit the program.

Double-click the system tray icon to bring up the Settings window.

The Settings window lets you configure the program. All of your
settings are saved in the registry, so you don’t have to configure the
program every time you run it.

If you are using AOL 5.0 in Windows 98 and you get signed off for being
idle, you *must* use the keep-alive feature when you are away from your
computer. AOL 5.0 on Windows 98 can sign you off for being idle even if you
click all the popups.
AOL France Subscribers

If you are using AOL France and AOL is automatically disconnecting you
after 30 minutes, please do not write. I am aware of this problem, but
cannot do anything about it. AOL France signed up more subscribers than it
can handle…perhaps you should contact a local business bureau and alert
them to AOL’s unfavorable business practices.
